WHAT WE DO
Ray, our picture framer, has over 35 years’ experience in the industry, having been trained from the outset in conservation and archival framing. You can be confident your precious items will be handled with the utmost care and framed to the highest standard.
Over the years, Ray has run many classes as a DIY instructor – in framing, mat-cutting and tapestry-stretching.
His service is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Ray has a passion for working with wood, whether it be turning a beautiful bowl, shaping an elegant side-table, building a comfortable garden seat or designing the ultimate workbench with all the bells and whistles.
Ray ensures your valuable artwork or treasured memorabilia will be handled with care and framed with materials and methods designed to protect and preserve it – as well as enhance its display. He can undertake minor restorations or, where appropriate, refer the work to a specialist conservator. We offer a comprehensive range of mouldings, mat boards and glass to suit all budgets and you are most welcome to call in to discuss your framing or restoration needs. Or just to have a look around!

Ray
MASTER IN-HOUSE FRAMER
Ray is our master framer, with 30+ years of experience in archival framing, woodworking, and furniture making. He oversees our framing workshop, and is fully qualified with a certificate III in Picture Framing. Ray can frame pretty much anything! He can create custom frames from scratch, repair furniture/wooden items and artwork, and build beautiful display cases for unique or precious items such as coins or medals. His craftsmanship is truly exceptional.

Louise
EXPERIENCED APPRENTICE
Our experienced apprentice Louise is also a skilled artist and graphic designer. She completes most of our art restoration/repair work and has a keen eye for detail. If you’re not sure what kind of frame or mat colours to choose, she can also provide advice on aesthetic styling and interior design.

Suba
TRAINEE
Suba is our newest addition to our framing team. She has a background in Visual Arts and Graphic Design, and can take on art/digital restoration works as well as create custom colour-matched frames!
